Wondering if you are eligible?
To be eligible for fully funded home nursing services via Brass Stone Healthcare, you must be a veteran or an entitled family memeber who meets the following criteria:
Veteran Gold Card Holders: You are eligible for DVA-funded community nursing and personal care services for all clinically assessed health needs.
Veteran White Card Holders: You are eligible for nursing services if the care is specifically required for a service-related injury or condition that has been accepted by the DVA.

Who Qualifies
Accessing our community nursing services as a veteran in Australia is an easy process, but it does require a few specific administrative steps.
Step 1
Check Your Eligibility
Eligibility is primarily determined by your Veteran Card status

Step 2
Obtain a Professional Referral
Unlike some other healthcare services, you cannot self-refer for DVA community nursing. You must get a written referral from an authorized health professional, such as:
Your General Practitioner (GP) – This is the most common route.
A hospital discharge planner (if you are being transition from hospital back to home).
A nurse practitioner specializing in community nursing

What services are covered?
The DVA Community Nursing Program is designed to help you stay independent at home. Covered services include:
Clinical Care: Development of nursing care plan, Wound care, medication management, chronic disease management (community nursing support for long term conditions) and palliative care.
Personal Care: Assistance with hygiene, showering, and dressing (provided alongside clinical needs).
